wow, i can't believe it's been a month since i've updated. i've been busy working, registering my car in georgia, and of course, traveling. so my last trip was "home" to tampa. i say home in quotes because it's not really my home anymore since my parents moved to boise. i always have difficulty saying where i'm from now. i was born in michigan, grew up in florida, went to college in california, and now my home is in idaho. so where am i from? florida, i guess, since i grew up there. but not really, since my home isn't there anymore.

but anyway, i went on a day trip to tampa. i drove by my old house, spent the day with my good friend fay, visited family friends, drove by my old high school, and visited my gradfather's grave. i think i really needed the trip because i had been missing tampa so much. this visit sort of gave me the closure i needed because the last time i was in tampa i was just busy helping my parents pack and move. i really didn't get a change to drive around and see everything one last time. after visiting all these cities this summer, i realize that tampa isn't really as great as i had remembered. there isn't really all that much to do there and there isn't really anywhere that great to eat. but, of course, i grew up there and will always have very fond memories.
