new post and new look!
the past 3 weeks have been pretty exciting for me. andy has a summer internship with airtran airways, so we get free standby tickets to anywhere airtran flies! we went to new york from 6/25-6/26 and met up with some friends and relatives. then we went to san francisco from 7/1-7/4 and got to see more friends and hit up all the restaurants we had been craving like in 'n out, la burrita, zachary's, nan 'n curry, san tung, burma superstar, and koi palace. i probably gained 5 pounds from the trip, but it was great!
finally this past weekend, we went to chicago! it was my first time there, and i loved it! a beautiful skyline, the magnificent mile, the chicago river, and lake michigan, what more could you ask for? it was like a mix between new york and venice, but cleaner and nicer. we had drinks at the signature lounge in the john hancock building, stayed at the palmer house hilton with an gorgeous lobby, saw the beautiful skyline from the sears tower, had chicago-style pizza at giordano's, went on a architectural boat tour on the chicago river and a speedboat ride on lake michigan, and walked through the navy pier and down the magnificent mile on n. michigan ave. all in 2 days!
next stops - tampa, los angeles, and las vegas (if we can get seats)!
