so i been watching the olympics this week. my favorite events are gymnastics, diving, and swimming. i’ve always been a fan of women’s gymnastics, but this year is the first time i’ve really watched men’s gymnastics. and wow, they are absolutely amazing! they are so strong on the pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar. and their floor exercises are just awesome.
paul hamm miraculously won the men’s all-around gold medal last night. his routines seem short, but boy, are they impressive. and he’s so cute, but he sounds like a munchkin. every time i hear him, or his twin brother, talk i think “we are the lollipop kids, the are the lollipop kids.” i know that’s mean, but i can’t help it. i guess gymnastics prevents the men from going through puberty.
hopefully carly patterson will win the women’s all-around tonight. she’s really cute too. and speaking of women gymnasts, that girl on the chinese team, li ya, is not 16! even with chinese age calculation, where you’re 1 at birth, 2 at one month, and 3 at age one, there is no way that girl is over 12! and let’s not forget andy’s favorite romanian gymnast, oana ban. isn’t that such a great name?
